Welcome to ColorDOS !
- For a very quick view of what ColorDOS does, type 'colordos' at the
next DOS command prompt. Each subdirectory in your next prompt should
be a different color. (Note any of these colors can be changed to suit
your own tastes.)
- Try changing drives. As you move from drive to drive, the drive letter
in the prompt will be a different color.
- Try logging into deeper and deeper subdirectories. ColorDOS gives each
sucessive directory its own color to make it stand out. This gives the
command line a much more pleasing appearance and makes DOS directory
information more obvious.
- Also notice any text that you type is a different color depending on
which drive you are currently logged onto.
- Type 'mem /c |more' at the command prompt to see how little memory
ColorDOS takes up.
- Please see also the file read_me.1st and colordos.doc for more information
on installing ColorDOS on your system and changing your prompt colors.
